Introduction

The 1st Secondary School initially opened its doors and welcomed its first students in September 1974. Throughout its historic 50-year journey, it has successfully graduated 8,279 students across 246 class cohorts. From 1976 to 2025, 15 teachers and 49 students secured 1st to 3rd places in Stage 3 of the National Specialized Olympiads. Distinguished alumni include former President of Mongolia Ts. Elbegdorj, Honored Actresses L. Chuluunchimeg and G. Altantsetseg, Honored Art Figures D. Tserensambuu, D. Dashdondog, and C. Ariunaa, Honored Physicians D. Lkhagva and N. Tuya, Honored Economist P. Purevlkhagva, and Honored Teacher S. Mendjargal. Over 30 academic doctors and scientists have also emerged from our institution.

During the 2025-2026 academic year, the school operates with 181 teachers and staff members, serving 3,275 students across 82 class sections. It features two academic buildings connected to centralized electricity, heating, water, and fiber-optic internet networks. Over 60% of the school’s grounds are dedicated to green spaces, athletic fields, and practical training areas.
